AVa Bridge Features

The bridge
with NextGen performance & efficiency

AVA’s development was driven by a clear need to enhance productivity in delivering footbridges across the network.

Elegant & Adaptable

Featuring a distinctive modular design, an integrated lighting system, and an exposed bead-blasted stainless steel finish, AVA is a high-quality architectural piece suitable for any station environment.

Faster Procurement

AVA is faster to deliver and simpler to install compared to standard industry practices. With internal cladding, glazing, and services installed before the bridge leaves the yard, only a single possession is required.

Better Performance

An independent assessment commissioned by Network Rail awarded AVA maximum points for sustainability, passenger experience, safety, maintenance, and costs compared to other approved Network Rail footbridges.

Longer Lasting

The use of stainless steel extends the design life of the footbridge to 120 years, requiring only minor maintenance. This significantly reduces early-stage degradation, minimises disruption to passengers, lowers whole-life carbon footprint, and cuts down overall lifecycle costs.

Accessibility

AVA is designed to be safe and accessible. Reliability and usability are integral parts of the AVA methodology. This helps to provide equitable access for people walking, wheelchair users, bikes & trollies.

Complete access -
any station,
anywhere

The production of AVA bridge moves from the traditional "Industry 2.0" to a digital "Industry 4.0" with a focus on manufacturing rather than fabrication.

The configurable nature of the bridge design means that AVA can fit any station, anywhere.

With offsite manufacturing and rapid onsite delivery, we can install effectively with an overall saving on project time.

Our bridge is adaptable, cost & carbon effective and most importantly it's designed for the user to enable accessibility for all.
